Entry Conditions of Phase A.12:
Commissioning of beam with experimental magnets

Entry condition

E.A.12.1

Beam 1 and beam 2 commissioned at 450 GeV, with the "setup" intensity

.01

Injection of beam 1 or beam 2 on request.

.02

2 beams circulating with a good life time.

.03

 Orbit measured, corrected and optimized.

.04

 Tune measured and corrected.

.05

 Chromaticity measured and corrected.

.06

 Machine coupling measured and corrected.

.07

No crossing angle, no separation bump.

.08

1 bunch per beam, the beams are separated longitudinally.

E.A.12.2

Ramp commissioned, stable beam at 7 TeV (also at setup intensity)
.01  2 circulating beams accelerated to 7 TeV.
.02  Beams at 7 TeV with a good lifetime, tunes and coupling measured and corrected for both beams.
E.A.12.2  Instrumentation.
.01  Tune measurement systems fully operational and tested.
.02  Coupling measurement procedure commissioned (closest tune approach or other techniques).
.03  Orbit measurement fully operational and tested.
.04  Beam losses monitor system fully operational and tested.
E.A.12.3  Parameters, knobs.
.01  A coupling knob per beam is defined and has been tested.
.02  For Alice and LHCb, a knob is defined to change the internal crossing angle from 0 to +/- nominal
E.A.12.4  Atlas Toroids have been switched On and tested already.
E.A.12.5  The experiment magnets (solenoids, compensators and spectrometers) have been commissioned without beam from the CCC (During hardware commissioning phase)
E.A.12.6  All experimental solenoids and dipoles (including the dipole compensators) are OFF.
